In May 2025 Melissa O’Brien, along with Karen Browett, were as graduates, invited to represent the Professional Diploma in Art and Ecology at the National College of Art and Design, as National Biodiversity Week artists in residence at Glenveagh National Park, Donegal with National Parks and Wildlife.

They spent two weeks onsite in the National Park making plant based photographic works.

As part of the residency they gave an anthotype workshop in the Education Centre at Bridge House.
